It’s a funny thing. I spent 5 weeks walking across the top of Spain and I haven’t mentioned the 3 most prevalent things you see and hear.
The yellow arrow, the scallop shell of St James and the very familiar ‘Buen Camino’ you hear and say about 150 times a day……
They are the lifeblood of the tour. You learn early to look for the arrow. If you don’t follow it you are lost…..it is actually very easy and hard to do. So you become obsessed with it.
Stay on the path or you are walking somewhere else.
Just for the record I took a photo of all the strapping I did each morning. Feet, ankle, knees…..and compeed on the ball of my left foot and for my blisters on the same foot…..
Seriously unattractive but very functional and utterly necessary.
Looking good buddy. I’m still jealous of the journey. Wish I was there.
