Ok sleep. Getting ready mentally for the final walk in to Santiago, but I know it’s going to rain and know how hard that is on the group and the walk. I got a message from Arnaldo that there were 3 services today 10, 12 and 1.15 which all have the Botifiermei So we decided to try to make get 1.15pm service.
it was one of hose days, my Camino started in rain and it would finish in rain. It poured and poured right into Santiago. It was just one of those days. This is how we looked. It was still dark when we set out.
Then after about 2 hours of walking and stopping at a cafe we looked like this….
A couple of photos along the way….
We had coffee in this place about 2 hours out. No prizes for guessing what I was thinking!
Then we headed straight in. We were on a mission to see he service. I almost ran it with Greg. Everyone was helping me across the line. Thanks so much for all the support today guys. Kate you were inspirational in the journey. Thanks Greg and Sharon and Sally and to the official final day photographer, Andy Richards. You captured the spirit of the moment……
And finally this is in the church. We were wet, cold and tired, but the experience of seeing the incense burner flying through the air was something to behold…..spiritually uplifting.
I went and kissed St James and then said my farewells to this Camino and the wonderful experience it has afforded me.
now to reflect while I head across Spain for some rest and a little holiday.
more to come soon.

Thanks too for sharing the journey. – you have enriched others with your photos and anecdotes. Enjoy the rest of your holiday and safe travels.
Congratulations on your arrival at Catedral de Santigo. a Magnificent achievement my friend. Now, hang your Compostela with pride and enjoy a well earned siesta.
Really well done. I’ll get there one day but in the meatime I very much enjoyed being a fleeting cameo on your journey.
