glorious morning and after breakfast we made a break for the hills. This is the view out our hotel window.
Walking in the dawn sun we caught these.
Walked through a number of small Spanish villages, refilled for water, but the countryside was spectacular, as the weather was. So very lucky. The Bierzo region is know for its wine so we will have to try some tonight. A little tipple perhaps.
And a coffee break. Shoes off, new dry socks, diary note…….
Good day all round, some blisters or so but nothing too bad.
Love the photos and commentary. As per Sunday Age today, There is someone called Garry Heard, a baptist minister who is also walking the Comino now and writing for the Age !!!!
Well done Andy and kate! We watched The Way on the weekend and Jane and I got very fired up, I have just read all the blogs, they are fantastic – well done on keeping a journal so religiously. It is such an amazing journey you have undertaken, life changing I imagine. can’t wait to hear about it when you return, especially about the Rioja and the Tostadas (that is a very yummy sounding name). I hope the rest of the journey is as interesting and fulfilling as it obviously has been so far. keep well and keep those blisters and sore knees under control! Cheers Steve H.
Hi Steve, thanks for the post. It is so worthwhile doing. Wow so much to see and the weather has been sensational, which really helps. Looking forward to staying at Jonqua…
Hey you two… Well done keep it up!
