Last night was very nice indeed. I visited the local Najera Monestry and Chapel. It was originally built to house the royal families (once they had died) of he local area. It has a beautiful cloister with intricate lacework in stone all around. It is their garden if Eden.
it has a number of glorious regions artifacts. One of Santiago, the alter piece adorned her Mother and child with white lilies.
There were a couple of other things as well. But no time now to put them up.
the walk was very nice. Long country roads
Met up with Donal the Irish Lawyer last night. Had a meal and a beer. And an early night.
the Monestry in Santo Domingo houses the miracle legend about the cock and the hen….look it up.
but they have a live Cock in the Church.
So off to Belorado today time to go.
